Tip Tuesday – Face Your Fear

September 29, 2015 by Shannon Leave a Comment

I was scrolling through my IG feed the other day and noticed
a really great post by Soury from @kawaiigoodies1.  And the message was all about sharing
our best tips to help our fellow makers out. Love that!

Having just finished a really challenging project and about
to start a new one, I was all about focusing on not letting fear stop us from
pursuing activities that we want to explore.
Often times, we let our fear stop us from chasing our dreams, fearful it
won’t work out and we’ll end up failing.
But the beauty about life is that we can try again.  I’ve learned so much from my “failures”,
which is, after all, very arbitrary.
Failure to me, may not be deemed a failure to someone else.  We can be our own worst critics and harder on
ourselves than we need to be.
As of late, I am all about stepping outside my comfort zone
and facing my fear.  And you know
what?  It has been such a liberating and
encouraging experience!!  When we push
beyond that fear barrier, we discover such amazing new skills and remind
ourselves that we won’t know whether something is possible until we give it a
try.  So go ahead, look your fear in the
face and tell it to take a hike, you’ve got this!
I can’t talk about it yet, but I’m working madly behind the
scenes on a big project.  Which I would
never have gone for if I let my fear get in the way 😉  Hoping to be able to share in the next few
weeks – stay tuned!
Tell me, have you stepped outside your comfort zone and
accomplished something you are proud of?  Or share it on Instagram with the #makershare hashtag and tag me so I can follow along!!
xo
