Another year of making and blogging is coming to an end,
which means it’s time to check in on your top 10 favourite blogs posts of the
year!

year!
Do you know what the best part about blogging is?
YOU!
The excitement I get every time you leave a comment just
never wears off!
never wears off!
Even after 4 years of sharing, hearing from you is hands down
the best part! It always brightens my day to receive your comments and
questions. For me, that’s the whole point about sharing my makes and with you.
Yes, I want to inspire you to create as well, but it’s the sense of community –
connecting with other like-minded quilters and makers – that really gets me
fired up!
And checking in at the end of the year is especially fun, as
it gives me a chance to see which projects resonated the most with you.

TOP 10 OF 2019

This is THE post I would have loved to find when I fist
started quilting. Which is exactly why I created it for you! And I’m just
thrilled that it was the number 1 post of 2019!

You guys blew me away with how much you loved the Modern Aztec quilt pattern! I think there’s something to be said for a pattern including so
many variations and options for you to choose from 😊

I initially launched the Irish Vortex quilt pattern in 2018,
but when I was playing around with the design, I actually got started on this scrappy version. I always like to try out different fabric combos with my
patterns and who doesn’t have a fat quarter bundle kicking around in their fabric
stash – right?! This was such a fun one and made me so happy to finally bust
into a fat quarter bundle that had been sitting in my stash for…well, let’s not
dwell on that 😉

I designed this quilt for my SIL for a special birthday she
was celebrating. I didn’t have any intention of releasing the design as a
pattern, but you all loved her so much that I just had to! The Flight Plan pattern has lots of versatility too to bring your own personal touch to it!

This was the first table runner version of the Modern Aztec design.
I thought the pattern lent itself so nicely to a table runner and who doesn’t
need some quick makes in their repertoire? I even made my mum one for her
birthday this year, which you can read more about here.

How’s the state of your WIP?! Mine is always a long list, I just
can’t help it! And the Finish-a-Long is the perfect way to keep track of all
those unfinished projects so they don’t get lost in the shuffle. I see you like
checking in to see what projects I have on the go too! Stay tuned for more
lists coming your way in 2020 😉

I was so excited to see you love quilting curves as much as
I do! Lots more curvy goodness coming your way soon!! Including the pattern for this Ecliptic quilt!

Gotta love how this mini packs a visual punch! I especially
love the fabrics I chose as it’s a combo I’d been wanting to play with for awhile.

What I love about this holiday table runner is that it feels
like the holidays, but without being overly holiday themed. It’s heavily influenced
by Scandinavian design, which I have a real soft spot for. Classic with a touch
of whimsy – perfection!

This one sat basted for what feels like years! Sometimes you
just can’t rush the process and I’m thrilled I didn’t as the end result was
nothing less than spectacular.
