Makeology Gift Guide 2015

November 17, 2015 by Shannon Leave a Comment

I can’t believe there are only 39 days until Christmas!  With the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been
having and noticeable lack of snow, it hasn’t really started to feel like the
holidays yet.  But the Christmas
decorations will be going up shortly and that will definitely get me into the
spirit of the holidays!

It has been a total whirlwind around here and my early
holiday preparations have suffered a little.
So I’m super happy Makeology is helping us all out with their amazing list of gift ideas all made by local
artists in their 2015 Makeology Gift Guide.  And I am beyond thrilled to have my shop featured!!

Making it even easier to find the perfect holiday gift for everyone
on your list, there are plenty of categories to choose from, including:
accessories, baby & children, home, jewellery, men, toys, stationary
& art.  Each artist featured has a convenient link back to their store
to see their full wares available.
How easy is that?!

A big thank you to Melissa and the Makeology team for putting together
such an epic holiday gift list.  Our
handmade community is pretty awesome J

Now hop over and get your holiday shopping done!

Machine quilting at home is a skill that grows with every quilt you make. I’m sharing the lessons I learned while quilting my Cloud Surfing quilt on a domestic sewing machine, including planning quilting lines, working with a guide bar, basting, lighting and learning to embrace the imperfect parts along the way. #MachineQuilting #DomesticMachineQuilting #QuiltingTips #ModernQuilting #QuiltingAtHome

Machine quilting at home takes practice! See what I learned quilting my Cloud Surfing quilt, from planning and basting to building confidence one line at a time.

My quilting pressing routine has become much smoother thanks to a few favourite tools. Read how a larger wool pressing mat fits into my everyday sewing setup. #WoolPressingMat #QuiltingTools #QuiltingTips #QuiltTips

A year after upgrading to a larger wool pressing mat, I’m sharing whether I still love it, how it’s holding up, and the pressing tools I reach for most.
