First Anniversary on Etsy

June 2, 2015 by Shannon Leave a Comment

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I first opened my Etsy shop Shannon Fraser Designs!  Where has the time gone?!
This year has been a real learning experience to say the least!  There have been so many great firsts: putting my designs out there, getting my first sale, attending my first craft show, launching my Creative-Network Coffee Meetings, launching my blog, creating new designs and getting custom orders!!
I’m truly amazed at the love I have received from my customers, fellow makers, friends and family.
The support and encouragement has helped keep me going during the tougher times.  And tough times there have been!  From sewing mishaps, to sourcing issues, to understanding the technology side of things, I have certainly had my fair share of frustrating moments and learning experiences.  But even with all those challenges, I wouldn’t change a thing.
I love getting to design, create and see my ideas come to reality – it is such an amazing feeling.  And getting to share them with you is the cherry on top!  So thank you for your support.  Each like, repost, comment and order I receive truly makes my day and brings a smile to my face.
Thank you for taking part in this journey and here’s to many more to come!!
xo

I’m sharing the lessons I learned while quilting my Cloud Surfing quilt on a domestic sewing machine, including planning quilting lines, working with a guide bar, basting, lighting and learning to embrace the imperfect parts along the way. #MachineQuilting #DomesticMachineQuilting #QuiltingTips #ModernQuilting #QuiltingAtHome
